Visitors
We don't use cookies for analytics. To count visitors and clicks we store a hash made from your IP address, browser user agent, the date and a secret value. The hash changes every day, so it can't be used to follow you over time, and it is deleted after seven days.
People who claim a rank
- The URL or handle you submit, and the title, description and logo we read from that page, are published on the board.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your card details. We keep the payment amount, time and the provider's reference, plus the email, name, phone (if given) and billing country you enter there. These are never shown publicly; we use them for receipts, support and confirming who owns a listing.

- Stripe for payments.
- Supabase for the database.
- Anthropic's Claude API to suggest a category from a listing's public title and description, when you leave the category on Auto.
- Google's favicon service to show site logos. For X and Instagram listings, HeroHall reads the profile's public link preview for its name and picture, and links to the picture on the platform.
